Terms of Service

Love Oracle is an entertainment service. Readings are generated by an AI language model from randomly drawn cards. They are not predictions, not facts, and not advice.

Nothing here is medical, psychological, legal, financial or relationship advice. Do not use a reading to decide whether to take medication, leave a job, end or begin a relationship, invest money, or handle a legal matter. Consult a qualified professional.

If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, please contact your local emergency number or a crisis line now. The Oracle is not a crisis service and will tell you the same thing.

You must be 18 or older to use Love Oracle. By using it you confirm that you are. We may close any account we reasonably believe belongs to a minor.

• ✦You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping access to your email secure — sign-in is by magic link, so your inbox is the key.
• ✦One person per account. Do not share, sell or transfer it.
• ✦Tell us promptly at hello@loveoracle.ai if you think someone else has access.
• ✦You may delete your account at any time; see the Privacy Policy for what happens to your data.

• ✦Free tier. Guests get one reading. Registered users get a daily reading, a daily card, and the credits described on the pricing page. Limits are enforced server-side and may be adjusted as the service evolves.
• ✦Credits are a licence to use a feature, not currency. They have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money, and are not transferable between accounts.
• ✦Subscriptions, when available, renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the paid period.
• ✦Refunds. Where consumer law gives you a right to withdraw or a refund, that right stands and nothing here limits it. Outside that, credits already spent on generated readings are not refundable, because the service was delivered.
• ✦Prices may change. Changes never apply retroactively to a period you have already paid for.

You agree not to:

• ✦Use the service for anything unlawful, or to harass, threaten or impersonate anyone.
• ✦Submit another person’s personal data in a question without a lawful basis to do so.
• ✦Attempt to bypass reading limits, credits, bans or authentication — including by manipulating cookies, identifiers or requests.
• ✦Attempt to extract system prompts, or to make the Oracle produce content it is instructed to refuse.
• ✦Scrape, crawl or bulk-download the service, or resell readings as your own product.
• ✦Probe, load-test or interfere with the service or its infrastructure without our written permission.

We may suspend or terminate access for breach of this section, and we log administrative actions when we do.

You keep your questions and notes. You grant us only the licence needed to operate the service: to store them, send them to our AI provider to generate your reading, and show them back to you.

Readings generated for you are yours to keep, save and share personally. The site itself — its name, design, code, written card and question content, and the scan treatment applied to the deck — remains ours. The underlying 1909 deck artwork is in the public domain.

We aim to keep the service running but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Features may change or be withdrawn. We may impose reasonable limits to protect the service.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that any reading is accurate, complete or predictive — it is entertainment, as set out in section 1.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or for decisions you take based on a reading. Our total aggregate liability arising out of the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or USD 50.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.

You agree to indemnify us against claims and costs arising from your misuse of the service or your breach of these terms, other than to the extent caused by us.

You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms, or if required by law. Sections 6 and 8 to 10 survive termination.

We may update these terms. The date above changes with them, and material changes are announced in the product before taking effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operator of Love Oracle is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory law of your country of residence and may bring proceedings there.
