Arcanos maiores no amor e nos relacionamentos

The 22 Major Arcana are the tarot's big cards — the ones about fate, transformation and the turning points you do not choose. In a love reading they describe the shape of the whole story rather than this week's mood, and when several appear together, something structural is moving.

Every tarot deck splits in two. Fifty-six cards cover the texture of ordinary life; the other twenty-two cover the plot. The Major Arcana run from The Fool at zero to The World at twenty-one, and they are usually described as a journey — one figure walking from complete inexperience to completion, meeting a teacher, a temptation, a collapse and a reckoning along the way.

What matters at a reading table is simpler than the symbolism suggests. A major card says: this is not a passing mood. The Minor Arcana tell you someone is distracted this week. The Major Arcana tell you the relationship is at a turning point.

Leituras amorosas

In love readings the majors answer the questions people are most afraid to ask. Is this the person? Is it over? Did I do this to myself? The Lovers is a genuine choice with consequences, not a compliment. The Tower is the truth arriving whether or not you were ready. Death is an ending that makes room, and it is one of the most misread cards in the deck — it almost never means what people fear when it lands.

A spread with one major among four minors is an ordinary situation with one significant element. A spread that is mostly majors is a situation you are not actually driving. That distinction is worth more than any single card's keyword.

Carta por carta

The sequence has an internal logic that helps when you are reading rather than memorising. Cards 0 to 7 are about becoming a person: instinct, will, intuition, nurture, authority, belonging, choice, drive. Cards 8 to 14 are the middle — patience, solitude, chance, fairness, surrender, ending, healing — where most of the difficult love cards live. Cards 15 to 21 are the reckoning: attachment, collapse, hope, confusion, joy, judgement, completion.

When two majors from different thirds appear together, the gap between them is often the reading. The Devil and The Star in one spread is an attachment and the hope on the other side of leaving it.

Perguntas frequentes

What does it mean if my reading is all Major Arcana?

That the situation is bigger than your day-to-day choices in it. Several majors together point at timing, fate and consequence rather than at what either person did on Tuesday. It is not a warning by itself — The Sun, The Star and The World are all majors.

Which Major Arcana cards are good for love?

The Lovers, The Empress, The Sun, The Star and The World are the warm ones. The Tower, The Devil, The Moon and Three of Swords' major cousin Death read as difficult, though Death and The Tower both clear ground rather than only destroying it.
