Bastos en el amor y las relaciones
Wands are the suit of desire and drive. They cover passion, chemistry, ambition and momentum — the heat in a connection and the will to act on it. In love readings, wands tell you whether there is energy in a situation and who is willing to move first.
Wands are fire. Fire is the element that has to be fed or it goes out, and the suit behaves accordingly: every card is about energy either building, burning, being defended or running out.
Where cups describe what someone feels, wands describe what they want and whether they are doing anything about it. That distinction matters more in love readings than any other in the deck. Feeling without wands is a person who cares and will not act. Wands without cups is chemistry with nothing underneath it.
Lecturas de amor
Wands are the attraction suit — physical, immediate, sometimes reckless. Ace of Wands is a spark, and it is honestly a spark rather than a promise. Knight of Wands is pursuit with real heat and no guarantee of staying power. Queen of Wands is someone magnetic who knows it.
The suit also carries the deck's clearest cards about effort. Seven of Wands is defending a relationship against something outside it. Nine of Wands is the exhaustion of someone who has been guarding a connection alone for too long. Ten of Wands is carrying a relationship's whole weight by yourself, and it is one of the most useful cards to see, because it names something people rarely say out loud.
Carta a carta
The Ace is the spark. Two is standing at the edge of a decision about a future together. Three is momentum and waiting for someone else's move. Four is celebration, homecoming, the stable happy milestone. Five is friction — the arguing that is not yet damage. Six is recognition and being chosen publicly. Seven is defending what you have. Eight is speed, messages, things suddenly moving. Nine is the guard you keep up after being hurt. Ten is the load you took on and cannot put down.
The court runs from the Page's enthusiasm through the Knight's pursuit to the Queen's magnetism and the King's steady, directed will.

Preguntas frecuentes
Do wands mean physical attraction?
Often, yes — wands are the closest the deck gets to chemistry and desire. But the suit is broader than that: it covers ambition, conflict and effort too. Ten of Wands in a love reading is about burden, not attraction.
What does it mean if there are no wands in my love reading?
Usually that nothing is moving. Feelings may be real and the situation may be stable, but nobody is currently acting. In questions about whether someone will reach out, an absence of wands is itself an answer.
